Curious on how long did it take for @RRRacing to send down a tune for your lexus?? I sent my file out on 1/5 at around 1:30pm and have been constantly checking my email checked trash spam everything and i have not recieved the new tune file? I also contacted them thru there contact@rr-racing but still nothing what is taking them so long on getting it back to me? Anyone else have this issue?

 

From what the reviews I've seen on YouTube it's usually same day within a few hours you send them your file

 

let us know now the tune goes. I’m still on the fence about it

I have had the tune for 40k+ miles on my 3IS and no issues at all. I'm over 100k miles and still get warranty work done non ECU related (alternator, Nav, strut, etc)

IMO only worth it if you get at least a catback exhaust paired with the tune

 

What justifies spending $1500 for this set up? Catback exhausts are around the $1000 price range. Genuinely asking

 

In general, these cars aren't meant to make big power. If you wanted a car that has a big aftermarket support you bought the wrong car.

Anyhow, according to RR dyno graphs, for a 350 with just the tune alone you gain 10whp/10tq for $500. Cat back exhaust with the tune you gain 25whp/16tq. With Headers even more 44whp/25tq.

The tune by itself wont make a significant difference without the supporting modifications when your goal is to make more power.

 

i have the RR racing tune but it never occurred to me to think about if these things can be custom tuned.
