im 99.99% sure it does.

Also according to RR site it’s only 20whp if you do tune+headers... you really need an exhaust to. Trust me with our dollar so low, shipping, duties etc...it’s sooo frigging expensive to mod these cars.

not a fan of removing the cats. Will it stink fuel in early morning or whenever the car is idling in traffic...?

20whp is not worth it for almost 4k cad

I don’t have the headers,I just read about them on here. The dollar to HP ratio when modding these cars is INSANE. It’s not like a turbo car where you can just increase boost. I love my 350 don’t get me wrong, but here in Canada, it’s sooo expensive to mod them.

Ya I agree. With 4K, I will up the power on my s4 from 333 to 460 or beyond, including an ecu tune, TCU tune, heat exchanger, air filter, a new crank pulley, and a new supercharger pulley. That's 3.7 seconds 0-60.

Really, the only downside on these German cars is long term reliability. Everything else is good.

If you keep up with maintenance, they tend to not be that unreliable. The maintenance is expensive though but you aren't ever going to get the power from the IS350 that you already have on the S4. You could always just get a WRX or STI and chip it. For $1k, that would make it much faster than the IS350 and very reliable still

I actually test drove the 2018/2029 wrx. Road noise was horrible, power was meh, and am not a fan of the cvt. The sti had its own reliability issues in the past. So I pass on those two.

German car will not be reliable even if you maintain them perfectly. There are many parts that have design flaws or that you will need to replace eventually. If it's not in 30k miles, it will be in 50k or 100k miles. No escape, and it has nothing to do with maintenance history. Examples, the water pump, thermostat, pcv, and so on. It's pathetic really.

But then u get a supra which most of it is bmw parts, the tranny, engine, infotainment, interior, etc.

Does that mean the bmw engine meets Toyota reliability benchmarks and waranty? Probably. Or maybe it's too soon to tell.

For the WRX or STI you don't have to "chip it" you could get away with flashing a tune to the stock ECU for less than $1k and make 20whp if you're lucky. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a stock WRX and STI faster than the IS350.

https://www.motortrend.com/cars/suba...te-first-test/
Per Motortrend article:
2020 Base WRX 0-60: 5.6 seconds, quarter mile: 14.2 seconds
2020 WRX STI 0-60: 6 seconds, quarter mile: 14.0 seconds

I managed 0-60 in 5.65 seconds with a 13.86 second quarter mile with an axleback only and oem everything else. With margins that close, it really comes down to how well the driver can execute IMO.

Did u inverse the numbers? The wrx will never be faster than an STI, unless of course the STI is literally broken

The stock s4 has a 4.7-5.0 0-60 times, depending on many factors. 5.6 is really slow

The m340i, stock, has a 4.2 0-60 all day long.

I did not inverse the numbers. I provided the link so that you may see the article with your own eyes. It was surprising for me to see too.

Well, for only $55k USD, a Performance 3 does 0-60 in 2.98 so it's all relative. I doubt you'd consider that in Canada though

Not so much that the IS is "slow"....I never find a need for more power in daily driving and it's faster than a M3 from 2 generations ago...Just that new M340I is a really quick borderline fast car from the factory...They do the 1/4 in 12.1-.3 stock...less than a handful of years ago, people would dump thousands into a muscle car to get those numbers...
