Default LC500 Start/Stop Button is plug and play.

I imported part number 89611-11010, and can now confirm that it is plug and play with our 3rd gen IS's. I could find no definitive confirmation on this, so hopefully it helps someone else that was curious.

I hate non domed buttons, and the weight, feel, and finish of this far exceeds the original button.

I also believe that the new Gazoo Racing button should also work if anyone is interested in trying one of those, I believe it is part number 89611-52040, and is a Japan only I think.

Nice! I wish I had saw this video earlier! I just searched the forums here without finding anything on it.

I saw this video weeks ago and am planning on getting it. It's the same button they're putting in the new 2021 IS

Megazip seems to be the lowest price I could find so far: https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dl...art-8961111010
Cool mod, mostly cause it's very OEM.

I wonder if this would work on the CT200h. Since the CT and IS buttons appear to be very similar. How much was it?

I'm not sure about the CT200h. Maybe contact the seller?

I am not sure if it would work, but it seems that almost all of these buttons are interchangeable. I did see that they sell a converter to convert the old ones to work with the newer ones, but that was on a japanese auction site.

Anyways, they do have the hybrid blue button in this style, which I personally considered getting myself since I like the aesthetics better, but decided not to since my car is not a hybrid, so the power icon may have been out of place in the car.

The number for the hybrid button is 89611-11020

I want to replace my stock switch in my RCF and I can't decide between the silver version of this or the blue that you posted. I actually really like the blue. I'm sorta on the fence with the power button logo but at the same time it's slightly different. Still does the same thing in a way... you are giving power to the car..lol. I wish lexus had an actual red button that wasn't the TRD one. I'm not a fan of it. If it was just plain red I'd be 100% down.
It's hard to justify spending $140 on the silver version of this switch that looks so simlar to the stock switch but at least the blue one is different color wise.

ha. nice.. this mod has been on my list for two years. I mentioned it here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l#post10224315
only thing it doesn't do is pulsate like stock on the car that has these stock. I believe there's a plug and play device that creates this effect.

Same. I do not like the TRD one. So I got the ebay version and swapped the trim to the prius version. Reason, these push button doesn't have the same height (doesn't sit flush with oem lexus trim, 1-2mm gap) as the lexus button but it clips on and works fine. I was in the process of making buttons for the community. set of red oem style and blue F style but I needed 15k of capital to get a large batch running

It's funny you mention this. I bought the ebay red button and indeed the button is recessed by about 2mm... it's annoying.
I found this site:Push To Start Button – MESO CUSTOMS LLC

It appears they are identical buttons and not the cheap Chinese crap.. so I am hoping that this button will enable me to use the OEM trim piece and not be recessed. I hope to have the Engine START/STOP button in a week or so from him. I just read 40 pages on the Tundra forum and they all love his stuff... very good customer service.

IF that button doesn't work then I will end up either getting the silver or blue nicer version of the Lexus push button... I am just trying not to spend $150 for a damn button.

In theory too, you could take apart the TRD button and snap it on the stock housing and have it light up white instead of green.. That's the killer for me, the ugly *** green illumination on an otherwise nice looking TRD button..

Meso button is designed for Toyota. it's the same size and spec as the ebay one you got. it will have the same 2mm gap. Just use a toyota prius trim because it's more tappered for toyota's button. the TRD button will also have the same height issue and will create a gap. I looked into everything already.

I just got the meso customs button. It's very nice quality It's actually taller than the eBay one The eBay one sits much lower. This one has about a small gap not nearly the size of the Chinese one. The only reason why I don't want to go with the Toyota trim pieces because it's chrome and there's no chrome in the car at all It's that kind of off tan trim color that Lexus has and all the cars now.

I think I'm going to stick with this one honestly just because for the price at 25 bucks you can't really beat it The gap is hardly there. and in fact if I didn't know there was a gap I would never even give this a second look. The TRD buttons out only because I think TRD and a Lexus looks goofy, Even though I know TRD makes arrow parts and other stuff for the car but the button inside the car looks off to me. I guess worst case scenario if I get tired of looking at this I'm going to end up getting the silver LC500 push button.

Here are some pics though.

This is the Chinese button in comparison to the MESO customs button.

Actually, when I was searching to see if anyone had done this mod to see if it worked and make sure I wasn't wasting my money, I did come across your thread. Your thread never really followed up and said if you ever did do the swap or if it was compatible, so I was still in the dark as far as knowing if the button worked. I know your thread had said you were thinking about doing the swap, did you ever get the chance to do it? I love it!

Do you know if the LC500 start/stop button works with any model year 3rd gen IS? Reason I ask is because the Lexus parts website shows that it works with 2018, 2019 & 2020 IS model years but not 2017 and older. What year is yours?
