I bit the bullet and ordered a carlinkit kit. The seller responded right away and he already shipped it from China. Always wanted to keep the OEM look so that 4x4 option didn't really appeal to me.

 

Does anyone have Roadtop's email address? I'm very interested in buying this unit, buy I'm not driving much these days. I know there is a sale, which
really tempts me. I want to know if they have periodic sales, which I assume they do. I can't find any way to contact them on their store page.

Well I just spent last 2 hrs taking the trims apart and everything was connected but it doesn’t work. My joystick doesn’t work after I hooked everything up so not sure if CarPlay even works. I got the right toggle switches. In the manual I was told I don’t need to connect this cable if I have joystick connector. Does anyone have this connected?

this wasn’t easy task it looks easier on video but when you actually do it yourself it’s very exhausting especially when it doesn’t work. Now I need to text those guy in China for tech support.

 

Yea if you have the 10.25 OeM screen you don’t need that

 

I recall seeing a few CarPlay systems that required an additional microphone, and bluetooth sound wasn't great compared to running it through the OEM module. Is that still the case or no longer an issue?

 

Mine is old 7" 2014. I plugged in to see if it works no dice. Now I don't know what to do what a piece of poo.

 

I plugged in my phone into USB port to see what happens and CarPlay came on but my joystick doesn’t work at all no matter which toggle seatings I used.

Do you guys remember which toggle setting you used? I just want to see if it even match what the manual shows.
