Using the Techstream you can customize the Power Windows and Sunroof to open when the Unlock button on the remote is held down...I think for 3 or 5 seconds.
The Sunroof can be set to either slide or tilt.
You cannot customize them to close however.

That may be a feature of the vehicle where you are, but not in North America.
Just like how in some countries the IS does not show tire pressure readings on the dash, but in North America it does.

If I recall correctly, yes...you can leave the roof closed.

Any Lexus, Toyota, or Scion technician at a dealer is using Techstream.

It is available to the public, but it's very expensive. Some independent shops 'might' have it.

The moonroof or the windows? Or both? Think he was referring to the moonroof.

I believe they are programmed separately.

Here is a link to a thread with a pdf listing programmable features.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-settings.html

Windows are set with moonroof, but moonroof can be programmed on it's own. And only thing listed for closing is when using mechanical key.

repost:
The automatic roll up windows and sunroof have an Anti-Jam feature.
If you lift the switch and release it the window will safely stop if obstructed. Imagine a child's arms or head!
If you lift the switch and hold it the window will close very forcefully. Consider a panhandler or safari animal trying to enter.
The remote window roll down works by holding the unlock button until the windows/sunroof are where you want them.
If you could hold the lock button to close and were not watching it could close forcefully and dangerously.
I am not aware of any method of programming the fob to close at least in North America. Useful and safe way
to close all openings is the mechanical key in the driver's door lock cylinder turned counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise)

Take it to the dealership they can code it for you for no cost. See the screenshot below for you moonroof and window question. I had it coded on mines to open all windows and sunroof.

Here are some screen shots from the techstream as to what you can customize for the Power Windows and Moonroof:

The second option is for the roof operation with the remote...Tilt or Slide

The third option turns the remote option on or off for winding down the windows with the remote.

Hello, I managed to do this using an OBD reader linked to my Android phone via WiFi and Carista app from Google PlayStore. If I remember correctly I had to make a payment in the app before being able to change these features, but the app showed me first what it can do in terms of settings on my car. So, programmed all the items I didn't have access to with regular dash settings and never looked back. (Changed the opening and closing of windows which was off, trunk button time enlarged to the biggest setting in seconds not to accidentally open it, and a few other I don't remember now).
Nevertheless, if you can go to the dealer or have someone with Techstream do it, would be even better; I just wanted a couple of settings to be changed and didn't want to go to the dealer just for that, had a feeling that I would have paid more than what was worth.
