Bluetooth Problem - Phone Works, Audio Streaming Doesn't
Hi Everyone,
So as the title states, I am having a problem with my bluetooth system. The phone works without any problems, but the car will not stream music. It will disconnect and reconnect over and over and eventually stay disconnected as an audio source. I have no idea why this is. The car is under an extended warranty, but Lexus denied my claim because the car has a front camera installed that displays on the center screen. The front camera was installed years ago when the car was purchased new in 2014, but this latest problem didn't pop up until a few months ago.
I have tried unpairing and deleting the iPhone and re-adding and pairing the device again without any luck. I have also tried disconnecting the battery for whatever that's worth. I still cannot get the car to stream music wirelessly. If I plug in the phone, it works to transmit the music via a USB cable, but that's less than ideal, although if that's my only option, then so be it.
Any help?

Try to pair another phone to see if it works this way we can confirm whether it’s the car or the phone. Also, not sure which iPhone you have but an earlier version of iOS 13 had the issue you describe. Try updating to the latest version and see what happens. On another note a friend of mine has a Toyota Prius and he had the same exact issue you’re describing he ended up replacing his infotainment unit at the dealer and everything started working again hopefully that’s not the case for you.
Thanks for the input, Momentum. I'll try pairing another phone to see if the phone is the problem.
If it's the entire unit that's the problem, then I'll just live with it and plug the phone in via USB because Lexus Corp already denied the claim due to the front cam install which long preceded this issue popping up.

So I tried to pair another phone and it paired successfully and the same thing happens -- the bluetooth works making and receiving calls, but it won't stream music wirelessly.
So, I'm going to just live with the quirk and plug my phone in to access music via USB.
