The IS does not offer interior space like competiton. Everything feels really tight (or cramped) which is great for the driver as it gives a sports car cockpit feeling but not so much for the passengers as entry/exit is difficult because the seats are really low to the floor. Also, don't even think of carrying anyone tall in the back seats. It's great for kids though!

Default Is 350 f sport

Just put a deposit on a incoming cloudburst gray with red interior, moonroof and pedestrian alert package. I’m not upset about it not having nav and the smaller screen. I rarely put back seat passengers in the car. I absolutely fell in love with the car when i saw one on the dealer lot. I cant wait to get it, I’ve always been a chevy suv owner and I’ve decided to go back to a car but was looking for something a little sporty and comfortable and reliable. I dont think I’m going to be disappointed!

This is the one i test drove, not the one I’m actually getting

Got my IS 350 Fsport 2 weeks ago. (Dealer paid off my buyout amount on my 2020 IS 300 Fsport lease). I still prefer the torque of the turbo, but the 2020 really looked outdated compared the 3rd Generation 2.0, as it has looked basically the same for the last 7 years. You really notice it when you see both side by side.. I don't understand why we have no option in the United States to get an Fsport in the 300 models. I don't know the reasoning behind this.. I do know that in Australia you can get a 2021 IS 300 in the Fsport package and maybe in other countries too..

Congrats ..!!

In the US, likely the dealership networks and district managers decided to only want to sell the F Sport package on the pinnacle IS 350 model.

Helps boost sales on the lower models and for those who want "F Sport" you are properly bumped into a V6

Consider ourselves lucky..?? Lexus Europe / UK will NOT be selling anymore IS's. (2021)

Their last selling year is 2020.

how does it help boost sales on the lower models?

Selling price points for the majority buyer who do not care about F Sport package on the lower engine models.

Less versions and options to manufacture for a selling market also helps in manufacturing costs.

Very attractive package! Congrats!
So I'm curious how you mentioned you miss the torque of the 2.0t. The V6 has more torque. Perhaps you mean when the turbo kicked in and felt like an extra boost?
I also think it was a mistake to not offer the F-Sport on the four cylinder. It was an extremely popular sell. I think by making it standard on the V6, it will force people to move up to a higher MSRP, and therefor help Lexus's bottom line.

In Canada you can get the IS300 F-Sport package (excluding the 4cyl turbo)...... here are the packages for the IS300 AWD

the turbo felt like it pulled alot harder at lower rpms. The 252 lb ft of torque on the turbo kicked in at around 1500 rpms. On the V6 it takes 3000 rpms to get matching torque.

Interesting. I went from the 200t/300 turbo IS to the new 2021 350 and I can feel the difference. Even at low RPMs. It's actually night and day. At first, when I got the car I was like eh it's not much difference, but after driving over 1000 miles, I can now feel the pull and it's even more fun to drive.

yes definitely more fun and more torque above 3000 rpms. Smoother and more predictable. The 350 is over a full second faster from 0 to 60 than the turbo. Maybe cause its quiieter and smoother is why I feel that it doesn't pull as quickly. IDK...

it's the turbo for street driving. as much as i love NA engines, you have to rev it out to get the power by then you're going at highly illegal speeds. that's my only issue with the RCF, almost wish it had less power so i could wind it out more.

Yes, those of us that need the AWD for our climate, could not go for the better low end torque with the turbo.
Climate-wise, we also get stuck with the six-speed transmission on the V6 AWD and lose out on the 8-speed V6 RWD.

It's unfortunate the 6 speed is still around for the AWD. Looking at replacing my current IS and was planning on moving back to a colder climate. Sure, it's tried and true, but it's a poor decision when compared to competitors AWD models, so it looks like I'll be sticking with the RWD model. After seeing the USB in person, I'm having a hard time deciding between it and ultra white.
