Default Doug Demuro 2021 IS Review

lol this guy still complains about the Lexus turns signals, he's too incompetent to learn how to use it.

i found it interesting that this car wasn't even worthy enough for his regular channel. this is his second channel for "fun"

i was going nuts looking for this video on his main channel where he does reviews.

his basic takeaway is that this car is just adequate, but not for lack of trying on Lexus's part, but because that buyers aren't into cars all that much and the IS can't really compete with Audi, BMW, Mercedes in terms of sales.

The LC500 does fun and speed in a very classy way. I'd love to own one of those.

Installing a new powertrain in this IS refresh for just a year or two would mean quite a bit of development cost (even if they do use parts bin parts) which Lexus would certainly not recoup w/ sales.

I think Lexus will use the remainder of the 3IS lifecycle to figure out whether or not an all-new generation IS would be viable.

I think if they do make one, it should be substantially larger than the current IS. Maybe do what Acura did when they merged the TL and TSX lines and created the TLX. Acura didn't have room in their portfolio for both cars.

Maybe that's why I liked the LC500, the weight tended to slow things down a bit, if I could only fit my kids back there...
It's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.

What's the likely hood that the touch screen can be swapped into an '18-Current IS350?

So the black wheels are standard
on the 2021 IS350 Fsport? or are they an option?

You need the handling package on the IS350.

So the AWD models now have the sound generator controller.

Does that produce more sound when turned up or does it allow
you make it quite compared to the fixed volume version?

I like this car in this color. I still don't think I'd pick this color, but looks good.

I am a fan of Doug, but this was one of his worst videos. He doesn't even test out the acceleration, handling, or other physical traits. He's just in it driving and making general statements.

Strange to produce IS350 Fsports without
the Sport+ mode (handling package).
It is kind of backwards compared to the old
configurations where the handling package
was intrinsic to the IS350.
