Default Gas cap

My gas cover doesnt seem to lock or stay locked anymore. Any quick fixes?

Kind of have a similar issue. It's locked but its not flush with the car anymore. Happened after I went to gas station a couple weeks ago. Kind of have to push it back in.

I had this exact problem. Make sure the wire attached to the cap is rotated properly such that it moves as you close the door tightly. Sometimes it gets spun around and stops the door from closing flush.

This is the fix for me....plastic cord gets caught up.

you have to make sure the cord goes UNDER the gas cap in a COUNTER clockwise direction.. kind of hard to explain but if it goes over the gas cap in a clockwise / over the gas cap direction, it wont sit flush / make loud noise.. i had lexus replace mine but it will still have an issue if its not done like this
