Anyone running 255/45 Rears and 225/45 Fronts setup on stock wheels and suspension?? Any rubb?? So sick of potholes bending the rims.
Also anyone knows a good place to buy OEM Wheels at reasonable price??

I agree, two different diameters with that setup, which isn’t too big of deal on rwd, but an awd will lead to trans issues. As for inexpensive oem wheels, the best bet is to have them repaired if they’re salvageable. Other than that, best to look at all the online market places. Good luck, hope things get better.

It's RWD. Would love to hear from shrinkdoc about his setup. The bends aren't too bad, I have to go the repair route. Called 3 stealerships, complete rip off. Also couldn't find a single set online anywhere except ebay selling refurbished sets.
EDIT: Went digging through shrinkdoc's posts. He runs 255/45/18's in the rear, and 225/50/18's on Front. Keeping in mind, his AWD suspension is slightly higher than RWD suspension. I should be fine running 255/45/18 Rears and 225/45/18 Fronts or 255/40 R and 225/45 F as I have a RWD.

If you want to keep relative front and rear heights the same while increasing overall diameter then I would suggest
225/45/18 and 255/40/18
You can also move the front to 235/40 and rear to 265/35
another thing you need to consider is that every manufacturer is not equally. Nitto are narrow when compared to pirelli, when I went shopping for rear tires for 305 series tires there nitto were about 1/2 narrower then the pirelli Pzero, both were 305/25/19, i ultimately went with 335/30/19 Nitto Nt05 for my Supra.

The setup that TonyN mentions sounds great and is within the 1% rule for AWD similar circumference; at .4%. My questions would be if the 265's would fit on the stock 18x8.5 safely and if the 235's would rub on fronts. Thoughts???

Both front and rear clear without rubbing, but that's also due to the offset of the rims.
For OEM rims a 265 is too wide for the factory 18x8.5 rim.

They do exist as few manufacture make them. Even on this forum there members running that size on the stock 18x8.5 without issues. Plus the fact your running that size yourself make nosense on what you just said.

@laobo979 I suggest you actually read the thread you linked to confirm if any member actually installed a 265/35/18. Everyone talked about a 265/35/18, yet you don't actually see one in the thread.
And if you have a link to even one 265/35/18 on planet earth, please provide it...in addition, appropriate sizing for a 265/40/18 tire starts at 9 inches rim width. If a 265/35/18 did exist, the minimum rim width would be the same.

Ok...that way my mix up. The tire that doesn't exist is the 265/30/18...that's the size I wanted to match my 235/40/18 on the front, it is the one that doesn't exist.
I have 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 on my car now. My bad...
However, the 265 is still too wide for an 8.5 inch rim, according to manufacturers specs.
But then again people 225 on a 10.5 rim, so really where is the safety at that point.
