Just tried remote start again and it works!

 

What I am wondering is whether Lexus Safety Connect is enabled for your vehicle. This service typically gets enabled at some point during the delivery process at the dealership.

The guy who authored the video was adamantly stating that it was not enabled for him, but then he said he thought it may be enabled anyway due to the free trial.
