Default Center console rioja red trim

Added a little bit more rioja red trim, I removed and covered the silver center trim and covered it with rioja red vinyl, color match is almost perfect.
material cost is $4.99 for a yard of vinyl ( I still have enough to do another set or something else in the car) and $10 can of all purpose adhesive spray, took about an hour from disassembly to install.

Some pictures with and without flash.

Local hole in the wall that has a ton of vinyl, I tried hobby lobby, jo Ann's, and Michaels, only this hole in the wall had it.

It looks really good, what a great idea!
Did you also add some soft material under the vinyl? I imagine it would feel even nicer to touch, if it had some softness

Thank you
so the local hole in the wall fabric store sold "rioja red" vinyl specifically for lexus enthusiasts? or is that just what you are calling it lol.

i figured you were specific in the name so it was made just for Lexus people..

I tried it but since the panel is such a tight fit, adding any more material would prove difficult to fit it back on the car and have it fit like factory. The vinyl alone has some backing so it is “soft touch" as is.

Should be good, i used locktite all purpose spray adhesive that has been used on other projects of mine and has held up great in Arizona summers. This is just tyical automotive vinyl, as long as I UV treat it like my other stuff, Ido not see it having any issue.

it didnt even have a name, I just took one of the back seat headrest with me into the store and went to the vinyl section. I did ask them the name and they said it's been there for a while and have no idea if they could even get more, the role was half gone.
4 stores in total and this one has the closes match, I would put it above a 95% match to the seats, and closer to 99% match to the door armrest since the grain in the material matches the door more.

Lighting conditions and material grain plays a big part on color and perception, overall it's almost identical.
I have about half a yard left, might buy more if I see anything else I want to wrap, I'll ask to see if they know the manufacture and name so I can pass the info along, last lady had no clue.

I always thought the shifter should be wrapped in Rioja Red as well instead of black.

thought about it but I don’t see a way to do it unless I tally cut up the leather to remove it.

Yeah, definitely wouldn't try it either. Just thinking out loud I suppose.
