Curious though, why do you have bigger tires in the front? Just seems a little odd, if anything people put bigger tires in the rear. And by bigger I mean overall circumference.

Can I rotate my front tires with my rear wheels? I was told by the dealership that they did not rotate my tires as part of my 25k service because of staggered wheels. As far as I know, all 4 of my wheels are the stock 17" rims with the same size 225/45R17 tires. This seems to me that my tires would be able to be rotated, at least with swapping the fronts with the rears.
Am I misunderstanding something? My rears are currently at 4/32" and my fronts are at 7/32", so this would seem helpful to have them rotated.

Sounds like there is some confusion at the dealer. If you don't have an F Sport with the stock 18 inch rims, and, you have the 17 inch square setup, then of course you can rotate the wheels back to front.Originally Posted by pngo

you can always rotate if they are the same size on all four corners.

Will a square set up of 18x8 with 45 offset fit 2017 IS 350 AWD F sport with no issues? If they do fit what kind of tire size would you recommend?

Why does my triangle maintenance light come up a few hundred miles after i got my oil changed and deleted the maintenance indicator in the infotainment. does deleting suggested maintainance things like coolant and brake oil mater to that light? my car is at 53,000 miles, do I need to actually change the coolant?

That's the spec for the F Sport front rim...so yes it would fit as a squared setup.Originally Posted by cpzzzzzzzz

It may look a little odd though.
You would use the tire specs for the F Sport front tire.

Thank you for the information and if I want a 18x8.5 or 9 in the rear what offset should I go for.Originally Posted by Sasnuke

If you want it to look flush, then a +35 to +40 depending on what width the rim is.Originally Posted by cpzzzzzzzz

So the front I should leave it with that 8 with 45 offset and the rear 8.5 with 40 or 9 with 35 or is the other way around. Thanks.Originally Posted by Sasnuke

The other way around...8.5=+35 and 9=+40.
If you want the front to be flush as well, then your 8 inch rim should be +30 to +25. That way it will look flush with the fender compared to the rear.

When you refer to 'deleting' the maintenance indicator, I'm assuming you mean you reset it. It should display what the maintenance triangle is for on your dash.Originally Posted by abaitedcat

But anyway, resetting whichever appropriate indicator should remove that light - you might want to check out all of the maintenance areas that you can set, since most are defaulted to factory settings which can be changed. You may have missed one. Most of the indicators simply rely on a preset mileage; once the preset mileage is reached, it throws that indicator light to inform you.

Quick question, i noticed on other Lexus models the driver's door key hole has a cover to hide the key hole insert. When you need to insert the key you just have to pop the cover off. Want to know if they make that for the IS?
And for touch up paint does Lexus sell the clear coat? I have the body color touch up and want to know if it is necessary to apply a clear coat while touching up.

I have three bottles for touch up paint. Base, colour and clear coat. Originally Posted by a1rh3adsz
