Which one do you guys think is better and why? I've seen both in person and I like both, but I think Atomic Silver looks just a little bit better. I'm looking to buy a 2015 Nebula Grey IS350 F-Sport this weekend if everything works out....
Well, my IS was Starfire Pearl, but my GS is Atomic Silver and my RX was Nebula Gray Pearl.
I loved NGP on my RX. When polished up it has great depth. It hides dirt fairly well - certainly better than I expected of such a dark color.
But I also love the Atomic Silver on my GS. It's a beautiful color and also hides dirt very well.
If I had two cars to choose from, all else equal, I'd probably lean toward AS. But if I found a good deal on NGP, I wouldn't hesitate. You really can't go wrong with either in my opinion.
Atomic Silver gets my vote. It's a 5-stage paint process which is pretty unheard of these days for a mass-produced vehicle. For comparison, metallic paint finishes are usually 2-stage and pearlescent paint finishes are 3-stage finishes.
As a result, the amount of depth, color shifting and shades there are depending on lighting, time of day, etc. is truly unique and makes for an interesting and different experience each time you look at it. In my opinion, it does the best job of showing off every single line and detail, regardless of model. Here are some examples of how the color changes and takes on different shades:
I just got an 18 350 F-Sport in Atomic Silver. I had considered NGP, but I thought it was a little too light for my tastes for a car this size. I think NGP works better with larger cars like the ES or GS. There is an INSANE amount of depth with Atomic Silver especially during the golden hour at sunset. Atomic Silver does really well to accentuate harder character lines which the IS has plenty of.
Caught in the middle!!! If the Atomic Silver was a CPO and the same asking price as the NGP, I'd be looking at that one only. I've been speaking with the NGP dealer and they're willing to come down in price and meet my trade in value requirement.

Hello from Nashville! I live out in Franklin - nice to see a local on here.
I wouldn't expect Lexus Nashville to budge on price. I've been in the hot seat there numerous times and have been unsuccessful. Had much better luck at the Cool Springs dealer.
Anyway, Nebula Gray PearL gets my vote. I had an Atomic Silver NX and always wanted that color, but it does look best on the GS in my opinion. NGP looks amazing on the '18 IS has the black grille surround really makes the color and F Sport wheels pop...
I think both colors are awesome. However, Atomic Silver is probably a notch above Nebula Gray Pearl, just due to the dynamic appearance depending on lighting conditions. It's a color that stands out both in direct sunlight and at night under street lamps. I will say, NGP is a very can't-go-wrong color, and it's what I initially wanted on my IS. However, after test-driving an AS example, it quickly grew on me, and that's what I have now.

Sorry! I forgot to mention I'm taking the trip down there from Indianapolis where I live. Fortunately my gf is from there and has family down there, so we've been a number of times. I'm making this weekend a fun trip to Nashville while stopping at the dealer(s) to look and possibly buy. If I go down there with the sole mission to buy, I'll end up really disappointing myself or possibly pressure myself into a bad decision. There are a very few IS350's here in Indy, but they're all AWD and not the best value. I really want RWD, but might have to settle for AWD if I can't find one. Hey, maybe I could give you some cash to go check them out in person for me haha
Atomic silver is definitely more complex than the generic grey of Nebula grey. I still get so much compliment in it, everyone thinks its got a mirror like polish to it. Here is a picture of mine.
I didnt know the aromic silver is a more complex paint process than the other colours. That explains why it looks so nice. Had i have known i would have chosen this instead of ultra white. I already have issues with UW being too white thus losing a lot of the detail on the body.
