LOL I didn't do anything, Lexus created a cheap Infotainment system that craps out in 4 years. I've been having that reboot issue and now it's to the point where it will only boot up sometimes after a battery disconnect or fuse disconnect. I tried to update the software but once it gets to the restart your car part it the stereo never restarted again as usual. So I'm not sure if the update installed or it needs the reboot to fully install. I've been pulling my hair for the past month with this, I'm out of warranty by 15KM so I don't want to go to the dealer until I try everything myself.

Whatever you gotta do to get it to restart, do it...hopefully the update might fix the underlying issues.
Did you address it with the dealer for a Goodwill repair? If you're a loyal customer, they might be willing to cover the complete repair up to 1 year and 20k after your warranty ran out.

You need the reboot to complete the install...just like computer software when it says to restart to complete the installation.
