thanks
I'm also Ireland-based and have recently acquired an IS300H. Before purchasing (UK import), I did a whole heap of research. In summary, the IS300H is a very reliable car. It has even won awards. It's hybrid technology is based on the Prius and is pretty bulletproof. You should be very comfortable purchasing one without having to worry about major mechanical problems and most certainly in comparison to diesel competitors.

Needless to say, no car is perfect and you will always find one that has had problems.

What don't I like about the IS300H? Very little:
  • Transmission slow to respond - the same effect as turbo lag; you put your foot down and nothing happens, the opportunity passes you buy and you get the surge just as you back off.
  • It's quite compact inside especially in comparison to similar front wheel drive cars taking up a similar footprint.
  • No spare wheel !!!

Hi, i have a 2014 is300 h fsport, and i am based in Karachi, Pakistan. I bought the car last week and it has 18K km on the clock. It had a leaking front left shock absorber, which i have ordered a replacement for. My car came with 19" lexus rims and based on the roads here i think the previous owner may have hit a pot hole and thats what caused it. Other then that im loving every second in it!

Default 5.500€ damages during 1st maintenance @ 15.000 Km

It's been a so bad experience that I no longer want to deal with, I just want to forget.
