Default ECU Reset

Recently bought a new cold air intake filter. What's the process for resetting the ECU? I found some info the 2IS, but not sure if it's the same on the 3IS

Thanks

I think you worried about that on cars from 1988. You don't need to do that here. just drive it

I was asking because I see it recommended on the 2IS when people install new parts (i.e exhaust or cold air intake). Supposedly the computer remembers stats that pertain to the old parts, and resetting the ecu would give better results from the new parts. Is that not the case for the 3IS?

There's a fuse you can remove instead of unplugging the battery. You can search the forum, there's a post on it with picture of the ecu fuse.

Think I found it. I'll try it out if everything's the same https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/275287-ecu-computer-reset-today-at-5k-service.html#post2539716
