Lexus CPO/ L/CERTIFIED

Hey guys i have a question about Lexus CPO Pre-owned cars which is L/CERTIFIED. How does the warranty work?
For example a 2014. what ever is left over from factory warranty and plus L/CERTIFIED warranty? or
factory warranty is finish and L/CERTIFIED warranty starts when you purchase?

I am confused someone please explain it to me. Thanks
Also can you extend warranty on a CPO?

what the guy from the dealership told me when i was looking at one is that after your basic warranty expires that with the L certified it added an extra 2 years or something mileage thinking 20k of warranty?

You get two years of L-Certified warranty when the original factory warranty expires. Mine was 2 years old. So I have 2 years of factory then 2 years of L-Certified.
