reviving this thread. I have a '15 RC 350 f sport 110K miles 6 years of owning it **wrong car model thread but just posting here in case **. Mine just blacks out. It reboots multiple times and just goes blank. Tried all method, no go. Checked fuses and amp. all good. Replaced screen with another oem unit, no go though the backup camera works fine on both screens. Battery was never replaced, but car still starts up fine with no issues. Not sure if it's the cold weather thats affecting the unit, cause it resets my temp to 72 when I set it at 75. Any thoughts?

same issue here with my 14 is250

I’m experiencing an issue with the navigation system on my 2014 Lexus IS250. Yesterday, everything was working fine, but the radio suddenly crashed. Now, after the initial Lexus logo boot-up, the system gets stuck on the “Continue” screen. The joystick will not select the “Continue” option, and the system enters a constant restart loop. It stays on the Continue screen for about one minute, then shuts down and boots back up again. No issues with backup camera

I also noticed today that the air conditioning is no longer blowing cold air. This may be an isolated issue, but I find it odd that both problems started at the same time. The AC controls respond normally, but there is no airflow coming from the vents.

update: A/C is now working, some reason after lowering the ac temp, it restarted and now is working

I scanned for error codes and found the following:
  • Navigation system: B15D0, B12D3
  • AC system: B1453, B1455
Based on what I’ve found, these codes point to a potential issue with the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport)

I performed a navigation system reset by disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to allow the system to reinitialize, but the issue persists. I also attempted to access the navigation diagnostic menu, but was unsuccessful.

I inspected the amplifier and found no signs of water damage or corrosion. I also tested the radio with the amplifier unplugged, but the system behaved the same way.

Replace radio? Amp?
Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

I think I may have a solution. My car is the '15 RC 350 F sport. I pulled my radio unit out and opened it up to access the main logic board and applied new thermal paste on the metal heatsink plate. I believe both the thermal pad and thermal paste was getting dry and old even though it's a 10 year old car and it probably wasn't cooling well with the heatsink. Ever since I did that, the radio works every single time when I powered the car on for 3 days straight now. I was without radio for almost 3 weeks. I hope this helps. Maybe some issues might be different. This is with the backup camera working fine, all fuses are good and no water damage on amp.

Did you replace the thermal pads as well or was it just new thermal paste on top of the old pads?

I just put thermal paste on top of the old thermal pad. I didn't have any extras on me. It looked like over time, the pad got so thin that it didn't make contact with the chip, so I put thermal paste on top of it and so far my radio is working fine at every start.

Exclamation Similar issue just happened to me

Even though we have different models (2005 RX330), just the other day the entire instrumentation cluster, radio and navigation screen cut off then back on for a second---WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE!!! (Scary)
Like I said, this was literally maybe one-two seconds, but the Nav screen "rebooted" as if I had just cranked it (you know, with the Lexus logo, then opening main screen, etc.).

I too have been looking around online for the reason and fix. What gives???

Have you already checked the fuse or battery terminals? That's crazy if something like that happens while driving.

Haven't checked the fuses but terminals are fine. This is a weird little "gremlin" in the system that I hope doesn't persist. Gonna call dealer on Monday to get to the bottom of it.

yes. It's still working for me, but the kicker is that if you turn off the car and quickly turn back on again, it won't turn on and will boot loop. I drive my car to work, park it for the rest of shift, start it back up and still works.

Seems like you were really close then. I will try to replace the pads as well, maybe they were also worn down? I’ll lyk how it goes.
