Thanks for your option ! However if you knew anything about these films you would know that the light transparency is very good even with a dark tint never mind the light tint which is installed. Believe it or not so your opinion on not being safe or illegal is wrong.

Thanks Antnie! sorry for the late response, I am just now seeing that you replied! Regarding the window trim, are you saying you precut the strips of film and then laid it on top?

Do you have any close ups of how the chrome now looks with gunsmoke is laid on top?

Sure Ill take a couple close up pictures ... I bought 12" film and cut the strips that I needed. There are seems nothing you can really do unless you order very wide film and you would have alot of waste

I'm also wondering if the Lamin-x size 4"X60' be enough for the window trims and front grill trim. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

the 4"X60' will be enough as you can split the 4" width into 2" pieces and then have plenty to spare for the grill trim. However, i'd advise against the gunsmoke color as the chrome can give off a purple hue in direct sun. Unless you're into that... Perhaps the next shade darker would be better -smoke.
