Default Window Trim/Chrome delete

Wondering how much people paid for blacking out their window trim? Or how much it cost for just the window trim and front grill? I want to keep the glossy look so plastic dipping is not an option for me.

Want to know what's the average price, so I can start calling my local wrapping/ vinyl shops.

I recommend 3M 1080 Gloss Black. If you're in the SoCal area, I suggest messaging/calling Mike from WrapArmor; he does good work for a good price.

He did mine (window trim and front grille surround) for 300~

Buy some vinyl wrap and do it yourself. It's pretty easy and there's a vinyl roll that comes exactly the size of the IS window trim except towards the end of the rear window trim. I decided to do it myself because I wanted to save the $300 I got quoted for my roof wrap.

If you're in Washington, I recommend Wu Wraps to do your vinyl wrapping jobs.

It's hard to tell but I did a laminitis film that is transparent so you get the black but you also get the chrome as well so you get that black pearl / black chrome look. I like it that's all that matters

Thats what I did I bought some cheap vinyl off eBay to give it a try, 12x60 roll for 6-7$ bucks, don't get me wrong it did the job but the finish wasn't as good as I would have hoped (first time wrapping). Looks Good from far but up close few imperfections lol

do you know hows 3M's Gloss black finish? is it close to paint finish? The Vinyl I have has a light texture to it beside the orange peel, which gave it a cheap look once put on

Mine was definitely paint-finish quality and I noticed no texture nor orange peel.

I love the black pearl look you achieved on the front grill Antnie...

Which shade of film did you use? (tint, smoked, gunsmoke, charcoal?)

Also how did you manage to wrap the chrome on the window trim? crazy good freehand cutting after setting it down??

thank you in advance!

i wouldn't overlay over the DRLs. that gives you the signature look to a Lexus. Plus its probably not safe, not to mention illegal. not to mention doesn't look good. Leave it high end professional pure stock!
