Default UVS100 Heat Shields for IS Now Available

Covercraft UVS100 custom heat shields are now available for the new IS. These things are high quality, look good and keep your interior cooler. I had one in my last ride. Not cheap but worth it IMO.

Seems like it does not come out for a month.

Ordered from JCWhitney for $17.00 less. They have it for $47.99 and free shipping and I was able to checkout with my Amazon id so that was pretty cool.

Now just need to get tints.

Anybody know a good place in Pembroke Pines or close by Thanks.

I received my custom fit shield on Friday. I have used it the last 2 days. Perfect size and keeps the heat out better than the cheap one from Wal-Mart I had before.

Just thought I would put my two cents in.. instead of modifying something to fit like a heat shield, you should call the heat shield experts.. Thermal Control Products in NC, they do all custom heat shields for NASCAR, motorsports, everything.

Is putting on this heat shield as annoying as other ones?

Or do these custom ones go in easier?

Just received a custom sunshade from AutoHeatShield.com that fits perfect. The cost was $50. Order information: Lexus: IS250 Hardtop: 2014 Select SeriesGold Series 1445_lexus_is250_hardtop_2014. I also ordered a Gold Series for our 2013 ES300h.

The sunshades from autosunshield and heatshield work better than the cover craft ones since they're reflective. The cover crafts aren't shiny enough to reflect the majority of sunlight away from your windshield.

Heard that the heatshield ones are hard to put away.

Heatshield has a new Gold Series that's thinner and lighter. Much easier to roll up compared to the previous one available, and the reflective side is tinted using a light gold shade which has a distinct look.

I think hard as in you just gotta roll it as opposed to folding it up. It takes ten more seconds to put away, but works much better. It's worth it, they also have shades for the side windows and the rear one as well. I've purchased the side ones, they are a perfect fit. I haven't heard of the gold series, but sounds good. Gold has good reflective properties, but not as high as aluminum. Not sure if heatshields are made of aluminum, though.

Default Windshield Sunshade Options? (merged threads)

Edit: Just found out what I'm looking for is a Sunshade

I'm looking to buy one of those reflective windshield visors because spring is right around the corner (Austin TX get really hot by around March time). Which one have you guys bought? Been skimming around eBay and Amazon and want to make sure I get one that's quality.

I use the sun shade by Covercraft. I've used this in my last two cars and have been very pleased.

Default Sun shade that wont break bank?

Has anyone found a sunshade that fits the front windshield pretty good and isn't too small or big or bulky.

Looking for something from Amazon, Ebay or somewhere online or in a big box retailer.

Post links. Thanks

I've used this one in my last few cars and really like it. I find it to be worth the price. Search around to find the cheapest price.
