Default ARK Exhaust Backfire

All,

Heard a pretty large backfire from my ARK exhaust yesterday. Thinking the ECU needs a flash for the higher flow. Thoughts? Should I be checking for leaks?

Really interested in feedback on this, so I'm bumping it up along with some new info. I spoke with Simon at RR-Racing who said that backfire is normal and that I only hear it now because of the high flow exhaust. I believe him, but I am now trying to find a way to get better fuel consumption out of the car. This way there won't be unexpended fuel igniting in the exhaust.

Additionally, my fuel range has been going down incrementally ever since I got the exhaust. This was concerning since I had read that catback exhausts are supposed to improve (although marginally) your fuel economy. Before the exhaust, I was getting about 525km per tank. Now I'm getting about 485km. Pretty significant difference, as that is a day's round-trip commute for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Will an ECU tune help?

Getting my 5k service done in Thursday. Is the dealership going to have a fit about the exhaust?

I have some slight back firing when I'm slowing down and approaching a light. I have the F sport intake and exhaust. Won't worry about it took much unless there's an easy was to eliminate. Was wondering if the installation of an aftermarket mid-pipe might improve.
