Does the 3IS have AFS?
after dropping the car on RSR downs, the headlight beam distance was noticeably reduced.
before going in there and just turning the ***** behind the headlights, i wanted to throw it out there if anyone here knows if the 3IS is equip with the Adaptive Front-Lighting Systems that came on the 2IS?
i ran across this article on CL.
i couldn't find anything in the manual, and i was hoping someone here could chime in before i just go and manually adjust the headlights

The '14 manual does call out auto leveling headlights, but doesn't specify if it applies to the LEDs, the HIDs, or both. It's on page 174 for reference:
■ Automatic headlight leveling system
The level of the headlights is automatically adjusted according to the number of passengers and the loading condition of the vehicle to ensure that the headlights do not interfere with other road users.

AFS is for LEFT and RIGHT movement. I do not think any 3IS had this.
Now Auto-Leveling Up and Down, this to me is a mystery. I have never seen mines move up and down that I can recall, BUT there is a sensor that I have found on rear suspension arm Driver side only.
I have not been able to find any other sensor in the front when looking for it like i've seen from other Lexus vehicles with Auto Leveling lights....
For your problem, I would just adjust the **** on headlights and call it a day as that is what i've done also after lowering.

If the vehicle attitude is stable for approximately 3 seconds with the headlights on while stopped, the headlight leveling ECU assembly operates the headlight leveling motor LH/RH in accordance with the detected change in vehicle attitude.

As stated above, they do auto-level. I have the 16 F-sport with LEDs. I notice it sometimes when I start the car, it will adjust very slowly but not too far up or down. I do want to point out that it doesn't do a self check start up sequence where it goes all the way up down, the quickly back up as the GS and RX does. In addition, they don't move left to right as the 2IS does in which that is called AFS.
