Hey everyone, My seats started cracking and i was wondering if there is anything I can buy to treat/fix/prevent this? Can this be covered under warranty? I'm at 22K on miles

Interesting - I just noticed something similar yesterday, looks like part of that thin leather covering has flaked off (maybe it cracked first like yours and I didn't notice right away). These things can't be considered normal wear and tear after less than two years right?? I'm hoping for warranty work.

I pointed this out to my service manager a couple weeks ago and they sent pictures to corp. Have not heard anything back yet...

Asked the same question a while ago.

The red one is definitely NuLuxe, the black one in the first post looks like an F Sport seat so that would make it NuLuxe as well.

Looks like you also have that notorious crease on the bottom portion of the seat.

That looks terrible have them replace the whole seat

How old are your cars??

Fck I didn't know the quality of these seats can be this bad... I knew it was fake leather, so I assume it wouldn't crack like real leather..

Mine has some slightly bubbling in some corner. If it tears up like this I will complain to dealer for sure. This is not normal wear.

I never had cracking leather in my 1999 BMW 528i, the car has over 200K miles. I also own 2001 BMW Z3 with leather - again no cracking. You get some blemishes, some indications of wear but no separation, no gaps, no holes, no rips. I actually like the aging process of real leather. I am glad I ordered my IS 350 with real leather.
