Are both of these F-Sport seats? As I recall, there are differences with the non F-Sport NuLuxe seats.

Yes, there are, you can see them in official Lexus photographs. The red one is 100% sport, the blue/black one is with very high probability also the sport one - the photograph is incomplete to conclude but some details suggest it is the sport one too.

Not sure whether it makes a difference or not, just an observation.

They are both F-sport, NuLuxe, this is what matters.

Mine is a 2014 with 45,000 km

Yeah, "bummed" about that - and I don't consider myself to be too heavy a guy

Water on a microfiber cloth since many surfaces in the car seem to be vulnerable to simple household spray chemicals. Should I be using some sort of conditioner instead?

So only the F sport seats are NuLuxe ?

Anyway my car is not F sport, so I'm not sure if it is any better. However the same side is scratched in both cars I own because some times my pants have some metal/ plastic Botton from the back and I end up scratching the seats while trying to get in the car.

The owner manual states water and a cloth to clean. Same thing I have done.

From my previous thread on this same issue a good guess was made as to the back button/pockets on your slacks have a tendency to rub on this spot when getting in and out. seems like a good guess.

For US spec cars, all F Sports have NuLuxe seats. The base model has NuLuxe as well Only the optional Luxury package has leather.

In some locations, like in the UK, the F Sport seats are leather. I don't know about the ME.

Weird. I purchased a certified 2014 IS250 F-Sport with NuLux and my seats had a hole in the same exact section. The hole was not there when I purchased it, somebody fixed it. Drivers side right where you get in and out of the car. Bad design i'm assuming. Luckily I took it back and they fixed it but it doesn't look 100%. They refused to replace the whole seat which they said would be $1200 plus labor. Not a good first time lexus owner experience.

Thinking outside the box here...both issues seem to be in a similar place. Would a ring on your hand or nails repeatedly scuff the same spot while reaching for the seat belt?

The dealer warned me about wearing sparkly jeans on Nuluxe before I bought the vehicle back in mid 2015 so I'm sure they saw some damage prior.

This is where I purchased/took my car for repair. Talked to nick, perhaps mention you know somebody who had the same thing happen to theirs. Maybe there needs to be a campaign started. Shouldn't have this kinda wear on newish car.
