Sorry, I haven't update my profile lately - I am in NB
Did they just recently get rid of front plates there? I was surprised to find out there's only 3 provinces that mandate them, as I assumed it was the majority and that Alberta (where mine came from) was in the minority.

yep, our current government finally took us our of the pre-dinosaur period and made our province like Quebec, NS, PEI and NL...They also introduced the Motor Vehicle Inspection every 2 years except for a new car where your inspection is valid for 3 years! I try and not make political statement but when a government does something that makes sense, we have to applaud it! So...."applause"

Was it like Ontario, where the purported reason was to cut costs? What's this about inspections though -- every vehicle requires them now, every 2 years? Is that for pollution standards? We had that in BC but they scrapped it a few years ago. Only inspections now are if you bring a vehicle in from out-of-province, or to certify a rebuild or something like that.
AtomicAWD - In the maritime provinces, we were required to have an MVI (Motor Vehicle Inspection) every year - They would check for brake wear, suspension problem, failed headlights, worn tires, cracked windshield, leaking exhaust, damaged wiper blades...It was a flat fee of 35$ annually or so. The objective was to remove unsafe vehicles off the road by forcing repairs being done. I get that part, but this doesn't make sense for brand new vehicles to have done yearly so our province followed other maritime provinces by reducing the frequency to "every 2 years" and when you buy a brand new car, it is valid for 3 years. These MVIs are not a bad thing, there are way too many vehicles on the road that are not safe and putting some people at risk....but doing it this way seems a bit more logical and responsible in my books.
And yeah, every provinces have their own rules when it comes to MVI....a bit hard to stay on top of each provinces. I hope Ontario and others will follow suit on the 1 licence plate issue.

Yes, as I have intentionally NOT put holes in my grill, hopefully this helps BC get onboard... then I can remove it and have a clear and pristine grill
I’ve been really satisfied with my “Sly Bracket” mount for the front license plate over here in Germany. I got it before I left the States since I knew I was going to have to have a front license plate over here (didn’t have one in Georgia). It’s a bracket that hooks in the grill and does no damage and requires 0 modifications.

I had looked at those, but the pics they have on their site show it sitting very low, like mine:
Appears you managed to get it up higher, almost to the stock position. Based on the design, it looked to me like it should be possible.
Yeah, before I bought my RC and the law changed here, I had a "universal bracket" with many openings for maximum flexibility and "zip tied" that bracket onto my mesh without having to drill any holes too. I know many dislike the predator grill but that is one advantage of it, lots of patterns to hang it onto. I couldn't have done that with an Acura or other brands....
