Question How to check ATF Temp

Hi!
Is there anyone who can get ATF temperature with OBD2 scanner?
I got ELM327 scanner and am trying to check ATF temperature on my 2014 IS350 F-sport with Torque app, but can't get any data.
So far I tried custom PID(21D9 and 2182) in Torque app.

I think (not 100% sure) that ATF temp is a Data List item from the transmission ecu only, and does not appear on the engine ecu Data list.
If that is the case, then an OBDII scanner won't show the tranny temp.

I'll check it with a Techstream and see for sure...maybe I'll get a chance today.

Thanks Sasnuke.

I think (not 100% sure) that ATF temp is a Data List item from the transmission ecu only, and does not appear on the engine ecu Data list.
That's disappointing...
I have expected that I can get ATF or transmission temperature from the OBD port like older Lexus and Toyota cars as below.

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-ge...ring-obd2.html

If possible, I want to get TPMS data from OBD port too because my 2014 IS350 F-sport doesn't display tire pressure information in the instrument cluster.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your check result.

Yep...I was wrong...it's at the end of the Engine Data List...
It's the highlighted blue one

Many thanks for your help!
Now, I have to get the pid for that "A/T Oil Temperature 1" to pull data with Torque app. But It seems to be difficult to find out by myself...
Or, I should probably get a Techstream.

If you can get a Techstream then you can literally do anything you want...except maybe reset the Immobiliser system.

Buy ScanGauge II and you'll have instant ATF temperature displayed.

Unless you're racing 24 hrs of nurburgring, i can't see any reason why one would need to look at trans temps. The 8AT inherently can be beat on by the IS-F all day long. Should be able to shrug off the 350 engine.

But i guess if you're curious why not!

Did OP ever find the correct PID for the Torque App to measure ATF temp? I'm not familiar with Techstream but did a quick search on Amazon and saw several options. Does someone have a link to a reliable source/vendor for Techstream?

Thanks
