Bought my IS350 new back in October 2013. Absolutely loved the car.

About 6 months after buying it, we found out we were preggo with #2. We managed just fine with it but had to rely pretty much solely on our RX for weekend duty, otherwise it was just uncomfortable with the four of us in it.

I took it in today for service and walked out with this:

They made me an offer on a new atomic silver '15 GS350 F Sport that I just couldn't refuse.

I'll never say anything bad about my IS, as that car was a blast, but this GS is fantastic and my car seats fit so much better.

Cheers to all of you IS owners! Enjoy your rides - I know I did!

Right?

My brother said "usually in an oil change you just change the oil but keep the same car..."

Thanks!

As for the new RX, I did spend some time with them and they are amazing. We'll definitely consider them in a few more months when the lease is up.

Was it the rear facing seat that was causing issues with space? I have two kids but past the toddler stage and they have plenty of room back there with front facing seats. The GS though is definitely more spacious though. Congrats. Would like to hear the handling difference between both cars.

Yes, the rear facing seat is the challenge.

As for handling, the GS feels smaller than it is. It's more refined, but overall handles very much like an IS. It's very stable and corners very well.

I'd be tempted to upgrade to a '16 GS F Sport, but in Canada, only a loaded F Sport "Series 2" is available now and it's just shy of $70K + fees+taxes. Loaded with ML, HUD, etc. etc. but pricey nonetheless.
