Hows the visibility? and where did you purchased these bulbs? i was thinking of changing my head lights because here in Vancouver, visibility is very bad when the weather is pouring rain.

Phillips claims their ultinon bulb doesn't lose brightness with higher temperature, and from my personal experience they look to be the same brightness

I know, they light up the reverse cam really well in poorly lit areas, and other drivers can see them more easily when reversing out of parking spots. Too bad once they're installed they're pretty much invisible to the person driving.

There is hardly any difference in brightness since the factory HID is already a very bright light. I was going for the aesthetics and colour matching to the LED's (which match perfectly)

I'm not sure, but I think the 6000k are more bluewish than the LEDs specially if you look at the car from a distance . You should have gone for 5000k which is bright white. The reverse lights are looking great btw.

I disagree, my LED's on a cold start are clearly more blue than my headlights, after the car warms up the LEDs are still a bit more blue up close than the headlights. From about 3 car lengths away the LEDs appear the same colour as the headlights once they're both warmed up. The stock 4300K are pretty much pure white in my opinion. And I wasn't about to spend $250 on upgrading to 5000K and hardly see any difference. Overall I think I bought the perfect colour.

They are pretty good. This is a thread I created back from 2012 where I have these lights on my 2IS.

No problems in Vancouver .

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...00k-combo.html

Note: Even thou these lights are 6000K, they are actually around 5800K.
