Ok so guessing these are the bulbs to get, dos anyone have any pics on how they look with 6000k or 5000k, I want to change mine but not sure which to get. Also does anyone have any instructions with pics on how to change them or are they the same as the 3GS. Thanks in advance.

one of the members has a thread about his 6000K bulbs. he took them out and put the factory 4300K back in. he said the lumens sucked with the 6000K bulbs. the lumens on the 4300K was better... so i ordered the 5000K D4S Philips Ultinon bulbs. nigeljdm has them, they were pricey but i didn't want to get stuck with some knock-offs in a Philips box from amazon or ebay.

Ok, I'll probably get them from him, I need some whiter bulbs I hate it that these lights don't swivel.

I got Philips D4S Ultinon 6K in my car but I will put back the 4300K stock bulbs tonight. The lumens output less than stock bulbs.

I also have cheap aftermarket 6K in my fog lights. The color of fog and 6K Ultinon won't match and the fog light look even brighter, the headlight look bluer.

With stock 4300K bulb in the headlights and 6K bulb in the fog lights I found the best balance of lumens output and color from inside the cockpit but looking from the outside you will see 2 different color: yellow for the headlights and bright blue for the fog lights.

Not sure about the 5K bulbs but I'll stick with stock 4300K for now.

I had change my original 4300K Garax 6000K D4S bulbs but took them out too as i find the colou does not match nicely with the DRL. The 6000K is much whiter & the light throw is not as for as the stock 4300K.

As far as changing them goes, it's pretty straight forward just very difficult on driver's side. Do the passenger side first so that you're aware of what needs to be done. The silver ballast cover twists off. Then there is a power cable from that, that connects to the bulb. The bulb is held in with springy clips. Be sure to watch how you pull the old bulb out so you can match up the notches when putting the new bulb in. Don't touch the glass.

ok this might be off the topic question but it still has to do with lights so i have a 07 IS 250 what is the bulb size to my day time running lights?? I did some research and they said they are 9005 your high beams that are on low intensity but thats not true. when i went to go look at my head lights i see 2 bulbs where the high beams are. So i know one is high beam the 9005 but what size is the other one?? And these come one when i dont have my head lights turned on.

thanks and sorry if posted in the wrong section i just wanted some help.

Also well i replace my DS4 with 8k and i think they look brighter and i did the offset with 3k fog lights i think they look brighter then OEm and cleaner.
