Default Help installing subwoofers

I need help installing an aftermarket amp and subwoofer in my 2015 250 F-Sport RWD (non-ML). I am running 0 gauge knukonceptz wire from the engine to the trunk. What I can't figure out is how to connect the RCA cables from the factory radio to the amplifier? Will I need a Line Out Converter? Where can I find a DIY? There is absolutely no audio info for our cars online... Thank you!

First of all why are you running 0 gauge wiring? How many watts are you running of an amplifier? Zero gauge wire is overkill for most setups.

For rca connection. You will need a line level convertor to hook to factory amplifier that is in the trunk. Recommend you seek professional to get this hooked up. Depending on if you have standard or Mark Levinson system it will be different. And there are cross over points to some outputs that you should stay away from. Technically what you have to do is find the stock sub wires and tap the line level convertor to it (also called a hi-low convertor)

Here is the factory wiring schematics if it may be able to help you in any ways https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-a...p=docslist_api

Not overkill, actually. I'm running 1600watts rms subs over a 2400 watt amp. And is this the same thing as a Line Out Converter?

Search for subwoofer. There is tons of info here, trust me, I searched and found all that I needed myself to install my sub, amp and LOC.

I would recommend the LC2i from AudioControl. I personally have this with a 3 farad cap attached to 1500w sub amp. I am running two AlumpaPro 12's and they hit hard and are very clear. With the amount of watts youre pushing, you may need one or more devices in chain due to power restrictions of the LC2i device. I had everything professionally done by SPL experts, and I have the remote bass module too to " turn down " the bass when passengers are in the car. I can take pics, if you like. Anything else, just ask.

* I have done this twice. The first time, best buy royally screwed up my car. Im very pleased with the results and the clarity of the 2 12's. It complements the sound system perfectly. I did remove the stock sub and use the space as a means for air to escape from the trunk.
