I'm wondering if it's possible to frankenstein in a new GS nav screen to a 3IS...it could theoretically fit right? I'm wondering if the monitor connects the same way and how hard it would be to do. Yes the view would be stretched, but would look considerably better than the dinky screen in there now.

i'm close to 100% that the screen would fit, but i don't think the image would look good on it.

I'm quite surprised that Lexus put the same tiny screen from IS in $80k RCF.

Unless Lexus redesign the interior, they cannot put a larger screen inside. The upholstery will block the screen in the driver's point of view since the screen is recessed.

Comparing the two connectors used on the 2014 Lexus GS and IS seems identical... other than the extra yellow connector. But looking at the sheer size of the GS unit I just don't think it will fit. Here are some pictures i got off eBay for comparison.

Even if you can fit the screen the software is not the same, Nav map probably wont fill the screen different resolution and what not. GS Nav software was designed for bigger screen.
