Default USB Setup

Hello
Does anyone know if there is way to allocate the second USB port on our cars just for charging only. Every time i plug in my Iphone to the second port (closest to passenger seat) it messes up the connection with my Ipod which stays plugged in at all times. In addition to that, when i connect my Iphone using the cable for charging and bluetooth and want to play radio using Lexus Enform the connection gets messed up.

Does anyone experience the same issue?

If someone has a workaround, please share. Perhaps there is a setting somewhere in the system? Also, not sure if possible, but it there a way to use lexus enform thru a USB connection only?
Thanks

For Android devices, you can buy a USB cable that is designated as "charging only" which does not have conductors for the data transfer. I'm not sure if such a cable exists for Apple.

Car and laptop usb dock usually only output .5 amps which would make it very slow charging. They are more for data ports. When i tried to charge my i phone6 through usb ports i would keep getting i pod error messages. When i tried to charge my galaxy it would charge super slow compared to my 2 amp charger.

which means i will probably be buying a cigarrete usb adapter to charge my stuff while bluetoothing

In the past, I came across a 3rd party Apple cable with 30-pin connector from monoprice.com. Not sure if there is one with lighting connector.

This is what I have been using -- they are generic dedicated sync cables that come with the portable battery made by Magic Pro. They are pure copper cables which they claim it will charge much faster.

And I just use a Apple min-usb->lighting adapter. It is more flexible as I can use the same sync cable to charge min-usb devices (such as bluetooth devices) as well as i-devices.
