Default Replace the 2014 ML Vol and Tune ***** with the 2015 ML Silver Ones?

Has anyone tried to pull off the 2014 Mark Levinson Volume or Tune ***** and replace them with the non ML ***** that match the Sport Mode controller? I pulled on them a little, but I was too scared to go any further on my 2 day old car. I like the metal look of the non ML ***** and would love to switch them out, so it they match the Sport Mode controller.

*Looks like the pictures I saw of the new ***** were actually the ***** of the non ML equipped IS.

The silver ***** that come with the ML are metal/steel... they are actually an upgrade compared to the cheap plastic that matches the controller.... they do pop on an off, and i don't think it would be hard to find someone to swap with you that has a non ML IS... don't know why you would want to but to each their own i suppose

I guess I could possibility order the new ***** if they exist and test them out. Thanks for the info. I like how the ML ***** feel, but they look out of place in my opinion.

Are the 2014 ML ***** steel, or is that a material change for 2015 cars? 2014 ***** are available from the Sewell parts website (they are very cheap and not more expensive than the base ****, so it makes me believe they are both plastic). 2015 replacement parts are not up on their website yet to compare.

I believe they are made out of ceramic like they use for their home audio equipment.

ML ***** do feel very hefty, it's made out of good material but it just looks cheap.

Yeah they don't feel metallic. I love them just totally agree with you about looking out of place / cheap.
