I Pmd you a couple different times i was wondering if you wrapped these JUST THE VENTS on the car or if u removed them.. I already Carbon fiber wrapped everything else I just need to do the vents..I've takin it to several different places and they all say "it cant be done" then i show them the pics of what you did and there like "oh" well they dont know how u did it ...so any info u can provide me with would be appreciated ( the process what material used ETC.) because i really want to get this done ASAP ...thanx
Left and right front vent removal - insert trim tool to open side panel as shown, vents will then slide out forward while unclipping each on one area
Removal of center vent.
1. Center console must be removed in order for the center vent to become detachable (see video earlier in the forum).
2. Unscrew the four highlighted in the following photo
3. Slide CD player straight out a few inches (no need to detach any wiring)
4. The climate control, etc section above the CD player then easily pulls directly out (can detach single wire behind)
5. Now the center vent is ready for removal, held in my 8 clips it pulls directly out
6. You will notice the center vent is stuck on the left, it has to unhook (pulling outward originally, then inward to unhook) as shown below
7. Undo wire which powers the clock, center vent now detaches. Once the vents are removed, you will notice all three vents are held together by four clips that must be pressed/lifted simultaneously in order to detach the front wrapping plastic piece from the rest of the actual vent. The four clips on the center vent are a bit more internal and tricky to work with, center vent also has clock area to separate (easy remove clips and it comes apart).
Center vent is somewhat difficult to wrap, and required wrapping the clock area separately from the rest.

Yes, and did not remove the silver bar behind the nav screen from car, measured approx the dimensions of it, then cut and applied the vinyl, real easy area to wrap.
Actually viewed over 30 different red vinyls, and this specific one, Arlon Roasted Red, was really the only one that came close to matching the Rioja/red leather.

You don't have more of this vinyl lying around do you? It's been discontinued.

Resurrecting a pretty old thread here, but I am going to tackle this project this weekend... Any tips for getting the CF to line up correctly for the two center console pieces?

Does the entire door panel need to be removed to access the goldish plastic piece that runs under the window control plastic surrounding? I can pop up the window control surrounding, but the next piece has screws holding it from the inside. Anyone know an easy way to get them off?
