what exactly are we looking at? Those 2 scratches? up top?

Detailers can fix scratches like that easily

Was thinking the same thing. No sure if the bumper cover is bent out of shape near the trunk lining or if it's the 2 scratches. Pic is too close up and the reflections (or what appear to be reflections) make it difficult to determine what the damage is.

If it's just the two scratches, ballpark a couple hundred dollars and not worth going through the insurance.

If the bumper cover need replacement, about 1K (I got mine replaced on my 2 IS when someone lightly rear ended me).

That's upsetting I know how you feel. Just little enough to get to you but not huge.

^^^Based on the updated info, definitely less than $500. At most it's a little bondo, sanding, primer, and repainting of the section to look like new. Go to a body shop for a quote. Carstar is nationwide in both US and Canada I've used them through my insurance and they do a good job. Good luck.

^^^ Frustrating I know based on principle more than $, but don't sweat it. The repair will look like new again.

Its a small ding. If ure not too OCD about your car, let it be as is. Once there are tons of dings n scratches, then replace it altogether. Just in case someone do it again and you already paid $$$ to fix this one. Just my $0.02

Probably $900-$1000. The cover looks a little distorted above the exhaust pipe and at the top edge. If it's creased, they will have to remove the bumper cover and use heat to shrink / massage it back into shape. They will then repaint the entire cover which is expensive because Lexus uses a three stage paint system. But when it's done you won't even know it happened.

I had nearly the same thing happen to one of my previous rides and it was about $1250 because I needed a new exhaust tip too.
