Siri eyesfree isn't even support for 3IS I don't think we will get this...

Possibly we may. At the bottom of the page it shows coming to Toyota Vehicles soon, and it is compatible with **** based controls

it says at the bottom all the cars that will have it.. lexus isn't one

Toyota has been heavily invested in Linux. It won't be an over night switch. The bigger the org the longer it takes to adopt or change the tech.

Look at how both Honda and Acura are shown. I don't think Lexus will have carplay...

You guys should look into AGL (Automotive Grade Linux) which Lexus decided to debut in the IS model.

It is completely open source which means you are allowed to modify it anyway you like. What is needed is someone with a Linux coding background, because you can develop apps/addon's for it.

Personally, I could see a version of KODI being modded (there are already Linux based versions) that could integrate far better and provide a much better experience then CarPlay.

I am half tempted to plug in a USB keyboard to one of the USB ports and see if it can be rooted.

Am i the only one that thinks apple car play is useless? This is coming from someone who has had an iPhone for the last 6 years and use nothing but apple computers.

Yeah I agree. My opinion is people should be focused on driving not their infotainment system. Emails and text messages can wait.

But overall I hate apple and their products.
