I just noticed this 3M logo on my sunroof. Is this a normal tinting after effect? Or was the shop supposed to erase it/rub it off?

Yes aftermarket tinting. I was just assuming the branding would be subtle or even nonexistent

My free all windows tint from dealership also has the 3M words showing too.

The 3M is on there to show that it is genuine 3M tint. The place I went to showed me the markings to confirm that's it's genuine then asked me If I want it removed and I said yes. It can be removed, just go back to the shop where you got it done.

My chosen place of tint gave me the same info except he told me how to get it off. Just get some rubbing alcohol and take a rag or paper towel (it's some sort of ink so if you don't wanna ruin a towel then maybe go with paper) and wipe it off. It comes off extremely easy and one dab of rubbing alcohol was sufficient to get all logos off of my car (I had 11 logos throughout).
