Default Tint just done question..

I know theres prob tons and tons of posts but well.. I guess I like to hear things myself lol. I just got my tint done and its been 7yrs since I got tint from my last car so I kinda forgot what its supposed to be like the day of. Are there supposed to be bubbles/water spots and streaks until it all evens out in a few days? The guy told me in about ~3days let it sit in the sun to dry and it will be fine Im just super paranoid right now and hope it comes out good.. Thanks !!

The bubbles should clear up within 3 or 4 days. This is perfectly normal. It may look slightly "smeared" as well. If it hasn't cleared up in 4 or 5 days, carry it back to your tint guy.

Yea def wont be doing that , I already put cardboard over the switches and tape over it so I wont make that mistake. Knowing me I would have accidently done it when I was tired or something stupid..

My tint guy puts bright orange sticker over the power window switches saying "Don't roll down for 5 days", just to remind you that you better not roll em down. Comes in handy, trust me! Thank God for the moon roof. I smoke, and would have had a real problem with the windows rolled up for 4 days. Tint came out great and makes a HUGE difference in the look of the car. You got any pics to post up? Lets see it!

I thought my tint was going to have to be redone when i drove off with it. But sure enough after 2 days i couldn't find a visible flaw in it anywhere. If you still got bubbles or anything after 4 days, then take it back, otherwise you should be good to go!

That's what my tint installer told me. I waited days, weeks, and months...the bubbles disappeared but there were dots on them for some reason. It looks like someone poked little holes in the tint. I'm eventually going to take it all down and redo it.

After a week they should have redone the tint. Why are you redoing it? Take it back and demand they take it off and redo it. MOST reputable tint shops have some sort of warranty on their tint too.

Because I took it to a cheap place. I got what I paid for. I do have a lifetime warranty, but it's a far drive and I highly doubt that they'll make it any better. It's also illegal tint and I want to go a tad bit darker

I may actually go back to my usual shop and get it stripped and redone with 35% and lose out on the $100 I paid (to a recommened private dealer installer) and pay the extra $50 & a new $250 to get a very good shop I frequent to do it, seems like alot but.. I want it done right and lighter its just too dam dark for such a small car w/black int.
