Is it a good idea to get the Zylon paint protection for a leased car?
Or any paint protection in general.

Dealer is offering me $400 for that paint protection. I'm guessing I should pass?

Their paint protection is no different than what you can buy for about 25 bucks for a sealant. Moreover, there is normally a clause that states that if you do not get your car resealed every 6 months then you voided the protection deal you added in your contract.

Clay bar your car, use some meguiar's goodness, and use a sealant of your choice. You can also buy a da polisher too which would work better as a preper to seal your car. Seal your car every 2-3 months.

Or if you want to just have someone do it, spend that $400 on a professional detail and a coating like OptiCoat or something like that...
