Default Lexus half-a$$ paint job under the hood

Was looking under the hood today and noticed that part of the car is unpainted. Some part is black, the other part is untouched! My car is black.

Un-freaking believable.

Was my car in an accident previously? This could explain why I got the non-fsport steering wheel originally?

Can someone post pics of their car under the hood? Just remove the front plastic piece. Thanks

Over-spray?

Looks like I got a White Car here. Notice the over-spray on the right side?

Awesome blending job

Let me guess? It saves weight? lol

Seriously though, Looks like it was painted after the fact? I thought parts are painted before the panels slapped together.

I wonder if your car has been in an accident? Do manufacture paint with all those things assembled? I think they paint it before assembly.

I think so too. If anyone can provide pics of their car it would be much appreciated. Just pop out the front plastic piece and snap a few pics.

Thanks!

I don't currently have the car yet but If I were you I would just drive right to the dealer you bought it from and look at their other cars on the lot and ask for explanation! If they tried to pull a fast one on you I would make sure they address this appropriately!

They said "we don't know, you'll have to take it to service". I would to see some more pics before I head over to service.

Not gonna say the dealer name yet. But it had about 108 miles on the odo when I bought the car. (Dealer trade).
