Question Paint sealants?

The dealers is offering luxcare. Is it worth the money? Do the paint sealants really work?

Paint sealants - yes. Instead of regular caranuba waxes that wear off after a month or two, a paint sealant will usually last longer (6 months to a year) - both serve similar purpose - protect the paint. Neither will protect against scratches or dings of course. A good paint sealant would cost you about $30-$40 for a bottle - and this bottle will provide multiple coatings. This is extremely easy to apply - just wash your car well (very well), and then wipe this on using the provided applicator (no buffing required)

Luxcare - I have not heard of this, but if this is a paint sealant, ask about how long this sealant is expected to last, and does the dealership apply this sealant every 'x' months, and how much do they charge for it.

If it's offered by DuPont...It's a decent product and has a five year warranty. You would want it done on the inside as well. It's way overpriced as far as I'm concerned, so I worked mine into the deal at the last minute and didn't pay a dime.

WARNING...does not protect against rock chips...trust me...UGH!!!

No, save your money. A good quality polish/wax routine is much more beneficial to your paint.
