Default Power windows by Remote

Does anyone know how to program the remote hub so that the power windows roll down? I have the 3-gen IS250 Fsport and was surprised that the remote does not roll down the windows. I had a '07 ES300 before that had the power window remote capability. Does the 3-gen IS even have this capability?

Dealer has to enable this. Lexus now defaults to shipping them having this option turned off

How does this work exactly? Do you just hold down a specific button on the remote and all 4 windows roll down? Sunroof too?

Looking to get this done as well, would come in handy in the summer months.

Hold down the unlock button on the key bob and the windows all roll down, followed by the sunroof opening.

I contrary to what's said in the user manual, you can also close the windows and sun roof with the remote key.

I don't think it will work for US spec car. Another feature not in US cars.

That's really weird. What's the point of being able to roll them down but not up?

You can roll them up but you have to use the key that's in the key fob. Pull out the key, insert into the door lock and I believe it's turn it clockwise and hold until all windows and sunroof open.

Opening windows and sunroof by remote is extremely useful even if you can't raise them back up. I lower my windows and open the roof as I walk towards the car. On a hot day, you really appreciate this feature.

Maneuvering with the key in the door lock is possible without any reprogramming.

To clarify: does the dealer need to enable this feature?

Safety concerns obviously. A child or anyone can stick their head out or in and you decide to roll it up and the media once again goes on a Toyota bashing spree.

They could add a sensor to detect this, but they want to keep prices low.

The window roll down options is available on several makes. My G had this but I never used it. Just press lock and unlock at the same time. No need to take the car to Infinti to have it "programmed".
