Default Accessing Dealer Settings

Does anyone know how to access the dealer settings? From what I have heard it is just a series of buttons that you have to hit that unlocks the ability to customize a few things. The list of things you can change is in the link below.

Very good question. I used to, and still do to some extent, think this was just an opportunity for a money grab for the stealership. However, I think they may actually hook the car up to a computer to adjust some of the personalized settings. I know a few you can change using the key fob. I am sure someone will chime in to set me straight, and to answer your original question!

I saw the service guy changed my turn signal from 3 to 5. It was way too complicated to enter service mode. You hold down windshield wiper to off while turning on Acc then count 5 secs...., even he had to do it a few times to get it to work. I wouldn't try it myself you might accidentally change something during the process.

That's so great to know that you can change the turn signal number. 3 is just not enough, I don't know what they were thinking. Appreciate you mentioning that this is configurable -- even if you have to go to the dealer to do it.

you should see the song and dance you have to do in an LS just to turn off the maintenance light. They should make this stuff simpler

All about $! Done that way to get you back to the dealership. If you let someone else (non-Lexus shop) mess with it and they screw it up, then you may be voiding your warranty. Easy revenue.

Has anyone successfully changed their signal from 3 to (5 or 7) by yourself?

To change the nitty gritty on the car you will need the TechStream system they use. However if you want to see basic check screens and adjust the mic sensitivity on the Bluetooth simply put your car in ACC mode and with your right finger hold down the MENU button while your left hand toggles the light switch from DRL OFF to Low Beams 5 times repeatedly.

I successfully managed to do this without too much trouble, but I didn't see anything in the menu options about changing the blinker. All I saw was some diagnostic stuff, some ways to check on the functionality of the mouse, and some similar stuff to those. Can somebody post very specific directions on where to go?
