Default Changing nav startup screen?

Hi there folks,

Just got my 2014 is350 f-sport a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love the car.

One question I have that some may not have dealt with yet, but I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to change the screen on the nav screen at startup?
Mine shows the warning message, then a quick shot of the dealer logo where I purchased the car, then back to the warning screen.

I want to remove the dealer image on the nav screen and hope someone else has figured out how to do it.

Thanks much!

there is a small SD card located on the front panel by the Mark Levinson logo in front of the shifter. if you remove the SD card the dealer info will go away and you can overwrite it with your own logo. Hope that helps ya .

Its in settings - general settings - change startup image.

You have to have the folder named "StartupImage", all case sensitive and the pics can only be .jpg.

Also, the name of the pic should be no more than 5 characters so xxxxx.jpg would be fine.

When it goes onto there, itll say" transfer" or something like that. When youve hit it, itll say "overwrite current images" or something. Click YES. Dont worry, the Lexus logo never gets deleted by default

Startup image is not in SD Card. Don't remove it, all maps and other data are in the card. Dealer added their image from USB drive.

Do not remove the SD card... like @dojoman said.

Use a USB drive. The name of the file is not important but the name of the folder is. It will only recognize the folder named...

Image

Case sensitive. This is in your manual.

That did the trick!

Thanks so much everyone. Got it changed. I'll post pics of my car as soon as I can.

I hope this helps someone

2018 as well. Just did this on mine, I've got a nice little F-Sport logo. Anybody have a cool short video clip (like a Lexus or F-Sport logo moving or spinning or something)? Mine has an option for a video as well as an image.

My 2016 does the same thing but it's intermittent. Sometimes it comes up properly other times the NavScreen. I just hit the home button when it happens though it is slightly annoying. Where on the other hand can we get a hold of some cool images to change the start up image? Can it be any image?

I'm using this one:

It's not really the right size for the screen, and I would prefer a red "F" or red carbon fiber to match my interior, but I just quickly put it up as a novelty when I found out I could do it. You can upload whatever jpeg you want, and set it to show on startup and as the background when you choose "display off".

The SD card is not in a partition format a windows PC can read anyways, I assume its in a Linux partition format.
