I finally signed up and unfortunately my first post will have to be about the time I messed up my $1000 master window switch
In short, I tried to piggyback an ambient lighting strip power cable (negative and positive leads) off of the cable that runs into the switch.
From then on, none of the buttons work. I've already checked the fuses with a multimeter and everything is fine.
The interesting part is that when I was checking the board with a multimeter while it was plugged in and the car was running, I managed to roll down the driver side window, so I assumed it was just a problem with the board.
I ordered an OEM replacement off eBay but it still doesn't work so now I turn to you guys for any input and advice.
Also, I know I messed up and it was a really stupid thing to do. I clearly overestimated my abilities.

hey i figured it out the switch doesn’t get 12 volts constant to the switch so go strait to the motor plug and it will be fine i got all my functions back like auto windows and all of them started working you may have to reset the others but holding down then holding up for five seconds hope this helps.
I don't really understand what you mean/what the fix was can you please elaborate?
so instead of grabbing power from the window switch grab power from the plug that goes in to the window motor it self the switch doesn’t get enough power to power itself and the light but the motor gets a lot more hope this explains more
Easier to grab power from further down the switch… my car has ambient lighting but I tapped into the 12v for headlights and ground (headlights on = additional ambient on bc if I tapped into the ambient itself I got an issue of the power cutting in half going from P to D) but for me it’s not like Im gonna be able to see my ambient during the daylight anyways
