OK so i installed a new window motor and regulator but the window still only goes down....... and not up. all the switches on the driver master swtich works fine but the switch to the window im working on. from the master switch if gives no signal to the window but from the window im working on i can roll it down but no up. do you think that the master switch could be the problem? or am i going to have to trace all the wires back to the master switch to see if any are broken?

 

Sounds like the master sw is bad
if you are careful, the switch unit can be taken apart to see contacts,
but usually not repairable

 

I've seen in some other posts that sometimes the wires that go from the door to the inside of the car break. They're in that little baffled rubber boot that you can see when the door is open. I'd start looking there

 

is it one of the rear windoows??

 

Thats what happend to mine seems that the wires degrade after a while i had the same down and not up issueand when i moved the boot where the wires are it started to work so i just rewired it!

 

Anyone else think of System of a Down when they see the title of this post?
