My 14 IS250, was giving an TPMS warning light error, i connected with Techstream and saw that sensor 1 was faulty and decided to replace it, due to the age of the sensors i decided to replace all 4 sensors at once before the other 3 start to give problems. i bought Denso 550-0105 TPMS sensors, looking online i saw how to register the ID on techstream going to the ID registration on utility in the TPMS section, and that's were the problems began. After i enter the ID's ,which i also notice that it does not give a timer countdown i get an initialization error. I tried connecting the TC and CG for 30 secs and still the same issue.
I am using Techstream V.12
Has anyone had this issue before? is there a way to take it out of initialization?
Never used Tech stream, but Toyota/ Lexus are known to go into a closed loop and not let the TPMS ID's load to the ECU. I don't know what type of error message Tech stream would give you to indicate that though. In general on my TPMS tool it won't let me access the ECU at all.
I believe I am having a somewhat similar problem.
I have Techstream V17 and I have also tried V11. Both ways, when I go into the main screen showing all available systems,
several of them have this asterisk next to them indicating they cannot be communicated with.
I am basically trying to reset and update the registered TPMS sensor ID's, but I am not having luck connecting:
I have the firmware 1.4.1 MINI VCI cheap cable. I am seeing the same thing for several other systems also including Immobilizer.
Is the low firmware of the cable the issue?
