Default TPMS life... What is your experience?

Like the title says...

I've had TPMS sensors "lose" their connection with the car. The infamous "Check System" and TPMS light carnival goes off, but tires have lost no air.
This may or may not be related to the TPMS sensor life.

How long do the TPMS sensors last?

Thanks!

I think the only option is to replace them, since the battery usually is the problem and its molded in. I think it depends on driving like hard driving hitting every pothole may shorten the life.

Thanks for the link. I have had this set of TPMS for less than six months. Wonder if they were old and the battery died in one or more of them. I should be switching back to my winter wheels anyway. Maybe I'll just wait until Spring of Summer to take care of it.
